An accident that gave a lesson to all !

It was a calm and pleasant morning and I was on my way back to home after dropping my younger brother to school.
There is a park near my home immediately outside which, is a road, a busy road. This park is famous for producing some of the best players in various sports at District level.

In fact there is a saying in our area, it goes like this Bete ko Tendulkar banana hai to Mahatma Park me khelne ke liye bolo’ (Mahatma is the name of the park)

Anyway, so the game of football was going on in the park at around 7:45 AM, when I reached the road outside the park in my car. I was in a mood of ease and was listening to songs while driving when suddenly I witnessed a football coming at an exorbitantly high pace in my direction. I immediately smashed the brake pedal and brought the car to a complete halt in a matter of few milliseconds thus saving myself and saving my car from having a broken wind shield.

BUT, a lady driving her scooty parallel to me was not that lucky. The football hit her scooty with full force leading her to lose her balance and wreck her scooty on the road.
Everything and everyone came to a complete halt on hearing the sound of scooty crashing on the road. People ran to the rescue of the woman, I too sprang from my car and ran in her direction.
On reaching her we realized, that she had merely been saved from getting crushed under the heavy weight of her scooty.
Luckily, she was wearing a helmet and did not suffer any damage to her head, though, she got some bruises on her elbow and shoulder. But luckily, nothing serious.

When I looked towards the park in order to find who had hit that stupid football, to my surprise I found the park to be completely vacant. Every player had fled the spot.

This made me extremely angry and sad at the same time that instead of coming to rescue the woman, they all took the cowardly step of disappearing from the spot to avoid getting penalized. They didn’t for once felt remorse towards what massacre could have happened because of them.

Meanwhile, a lady who had stopped to help her brought a bandage and Betadine ointment from her car and applied them to the wounds of the fallen lady.
On being given the first aid and water, the fallen lady picked up her scooty and left for her destination leaving behind a lesson for all.

THE LESSON- Please avoid using 2 wheelers whenever you can. If you can’t afford a car/uber and riding a bike or a scooty is your only daily means of transport then please make sure, to invest in few of these very affordable security measures listed below before taking your bike/scooty out of your home.
